 The
Artist
Ian Moyer creates fine
art fantasy sculptures, bas-reliefs, frescoes, and oil paintings.
The artist is located in Palm Springs, California. He's known for
his architectural style sculptured wall art, and faux painting.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio,
Ian Moyer moved to San Francisco, California, in 1978 and then migrated
south to the high desert of California near Palm Springs in 1987.
Today, he lives with his Rottweiler, Bonnie, on the perimeter of
a nature conservancy. There, on long walks through this natural
setting, the artist draws inspiration.
 With
a background in construction and a compelling need to recreate the
beauty he saw around him, Ian Moyer experimented with various materials
to introduce biomorphic shapes into his desert home. To bring a
genuineness to the alterations, he became an expert in faux painting
effects. Before long, he was applying skill to oil painting on canvas.
The large-scale sculpture
installations created by Ian Moyer can be seen in several public
places and private residences and his oil paintings are being shown
in California art galleries.
Whether you
choose to allow his imagination to run free, or you have a specific
architectural design in mind, Ian can create beautiful large- or
small-scale sculptures (installations), oil painting and sculpture
reproductions, frescoes, unique oil paintings, or faux finishes
and faux paintings. Casts of some sculpture are also available by
order only.
